Frequently Asked Questions

Thank you!
A big thank you to everyone who helped make the 2015 season a

memorable and exciting experience!

How do I make a purchase?
You can make a purchase by contacting Ms. Landoni. Together you can schedule a time to view the artwork, draw up the necessary paperwork and finalize payment.

Can I pay in installments?
Yes! We are always willing to work with clients to form a payment plan that is comfortable for everyone.  Payments are remitted through reoccurring credit/debit card payments. Money orders or checks may also be options.  It is considered a Layaway transaction and the artwork will be given/shipped to the client when payment is received in full.

Can I buy prints of the artwork?
Yes! Prints of the artwork pieces, mostly seascapes, are available for purchase through Fine Art America. If you don't see the piece you want, please let us know and we will make it happen!

Do you represent other artists?
Generally, no. We do carry some works by Ben Wickey and Jim Wickey as they are co-founders of the original gallery.  We have had group shows in the past and may have future pop-up exhibits, however, the artwork is returned to the artist after the exhibit if it does not sell.

Do you take interns or volunteers?

We are open to the idea of having interns or volunteers gallery sit during the summer or on weekends.  Individuals must be professional and reliable.  Please contact Alison if you are interested.

Do you give discounts?
We ask that clients respect and honor the prices that are presented as these are original works of art.  Payment plans are always an option.  Discounts may be considered on a case by case situation for the following: gallery volunteers/interns, workshop participants, Doodle Card students, clients buying three or more pieces, or during special exhibitions.

What are your hours?

The gallery is currently operating on a "by appointment only" schedule, however, we may be open by chance on weekends or for special events, workshops, classes and pop-up exhibitions. We'll get the word out about any special events or openings via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or our email list.

Why don't you have regular hours?

Currently, Ms. Landoni is participating in the graduate program for Expressive Arts Therapy at Leslie University. Time spent engaging in her studies, internship, and steady employment are currently occupying potential gallery hours of operation. She still uses the studio space to create works that can be viewed via the Rockport Art Association & Museum, the Newburyport Art Association, and the National Association of Women Artists.  She is open to having interns or volunteers gallery sit during the summer, on weekends or during special events.

How do you generate your email list?

All contact information is gathered organically. This means that individuals sign up to be on our mailing list through this website, Facebook, or in person at an event. We do sell or give out emails to other organizations. We do not and have never collected emails from other organizations.

Do you do commissions?

Yes, however, it depends upon the piece. Ms. Landoni will take commissions for pet portraits where she will render an expressive likeness of the pet in pastels.  Click here for details. Commissions for abstract works are not generally

Do you take work on other artwork on consignment?

Generally no - unless there is a special exhibit calling for such pieces, e.g. the 2015 Cape Ann Tool Co. exhibit, Forging a Landmark.

Sales Tax

The sales tax in Massachusetts is 6.25%. Paintings shipped out of state are not subject to sales tax.  Services such as classes and workshops are not subject to sales tax.

Shipping

The gallery will pay shipping costs for purchases over $500.

Why has the gallery sign been taken down?
The sign's hanging system became damaged due to a wind storm and was damaging the building. It has been removed and placed in the window until the hanging system can be replaced in the Spring.
